This site is is dedicated to raising awareness of specific learning difficulties. We specialise in providing information on: Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, Nonverbal Learning Disabilities, Speech and Language Therapy, Giftedness and Left-Handers.

There is further information on: Assessment and Testing, Educational Psychologists, Schools and Tutors.

The site is operated by Maria Chivers who is an international author on dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties. Maria is also the founder of the the Swindon Dyslexia Centre, which opened in 1991.

The site also contains information on: Visual problems, Auditory problems, Nutritional & Supplements - in relation to Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs).

A good Definition of Dyslexia is:

‘Dyslexia means having difficulty with words in reading, spelling and writing - in spite of having normal intelligence and ability’.
